In 2022, the MART program & contest will officially change its name to RCAT – Residential & Commercial Appliance Technology.
The name change was chosen to better reflect the changing times & technology of our industry. This will enable us to include the synergies of both residential & commercial appliances in our program.
You’ll start to see the name change over the first few months of 2021. RCAT will become effective for all SkillsUSA contests in the 2021 – 2022 school year.
In the meantime, we will be using a phased in approach to accomplish this initiative. You will see communications as MART/RCAT until the integration is complete.
The MART/RCAT technical standards have been updated to include commercial appliances as well. We recommend that all instructors review these standards and make revisions in their programs to meet these updated standards.
