Trade skills such as residential and commercial appliance repair have never been in higher demand. But in order to prepare students to enter the service industry, trade schools need adequate training materials to educate their students.
Mark Anderson, a regional service manager from Sub-Zero Group, represents the company in his long-time involvement with the National SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference. This year, under his guidance, Sub-Zero Group donated to schools across the nation by providing the highest quality appliances to their training programs.
Sub-Zero Supports Technical Colleges Around the US
When Sub-Zero Group donates to schools, it provides more than just financial support. In the past, through Mr. Anderson’s relationship with SkillsUSA, the Group has provided laptops for trade school students.
This year, Mr. Anderson and Sub-Zero increased their support through appliance manufacturer donations to community colleges, technical colleges, and trade schools. By donating a range of high-end appliances to technical training programs throughout the nation, Sub-Zero helps students practice their craft and gain hands-on knowledge.

About Sub-Zero Group
Sub-Zero Group started as an example of American ingenuity in 1943 when Westye Bakke crafted a homemade refrigerator from scrap metal in his basement. In 1945, he launched the Sub-Zero Freezer Company, perfecting the freezing of food at sub-zero temperatures. Despite competition from numerous refrigeration brands, the company built a reputation based on the highest quality materials and innovative function.
Family-owned to this day, Sub-Zero acquired the exclusive Wolf brand of cooking appliances in 2000. This effectively brought professional-level cooking to home cooks with the utmost in technology and design. In 2018, they debuted their Cove line of dishwashers providing the same level of high-level function and style.
An emphasis on innovative technology, modern design, and usability continue to drive the company to maintain the highest quality production. Consequently, when Sub-Zero Group donates to schools they help educate the highest-quality technicians in the industry.
